Rush

"Rush" is an ongoing project that connects Alexander Toms with a place that holds a unique history of rural decline in America. Beyond the scaling of agricultural practices, Rush County, Indiana's place in the modern world grapples with decisions made dating back to the interstate system's development in Indiana in the mid 1900s. Through this project, Toms aims to combine these research-driven components with an image-making practice to build a collective portraiture of the space he has fallen in love with.
